At My Happy London Home, we are committed to providing convenient and eco-friendly delivery options for our customers. We use Royal Mail for both UK and International deliveries, ensuring your orders reach you safely and on time.

 

Sustainable Packaging

We are committed to sustainability and reducing our environmental footprint. As part of this commitment, we repurpose clean and sturdy used cardboard boxes from some brands like Amazon for packaging your orders. By giving these boxes a new life, we contribute to the circular economy and reduce waste, helping to protect our planet for future generations.

 

Dispatch Time

We strive to dispatch all orders within 5 working days, although most orders may be dispatched sooner. If there are any delays, we will notify you promptly.

After placing your order, you will receive an email notification once your items have been dispatched. This email will include tracking information so you can monitor the status of your delivery. You can also track your order by logging into your customer account on our online store.

 

Lost or Damaged Items

We understand that accidents can happen during transit. Rest assured, we cover lost or damaged items for both UK and International shipping.

If your order arrives damaged or is lost in transit, please contact us at info@myhappylondonhome.co.uk as soon as possible. We will work with Royal Mail to resolve the issue for you.

 

UK Delivery

For deliveries within the UK, we offer the following options:

Tracked 48

  • £3.50 for small items : total weight under 2kg
  • £7.00 for items : total weight over 2kg

Free UK Delivery

Enjoy free delivery on orders over £100. Simply select the free delivery option at checkout.

 

International Delivery

We currently ship to the USA, Japan, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand using Royal Mail.

  • For parcels under 2kg we use Royal Mail International Tracked.
  • For parcels 2kg and above we use Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed, which requires a signature on delivery.

Both services include full tracking, with email updates at each stage of the journey

International delivery to other countries may also be available by request — please contact us using this form or email us at info@myhappylondonhome.co.uk before placing an order. Please note that we can only provide customer service in English or Japanese.

Tax and Duty for International Customers

Please note that international orders may be subject to import duties, tariffs, or local sales taxes depending on your country’s customs rules.

We always aim to make the process as smooth as possible, but tax policies can change, and the information below is for general guidance only. For specific details, please check with your local customs office.

USA: (Important Update from 29 August 2025)

From 29 August 2025, U.S. Customs removed the previous $800 USD duty-free allowance.

The following now applies to all parcels sent to the USA:

  • Items made in the UK are generally subject to import duty plus a 10% tariff.
  • Our most popular items, such as ceramic tableware and ornaments, are duty-free from normal U.S. import duty, but the 10% tariff still applies.
  • Antiques over 100 years old remain duty-free from import duty, but the 10% tariff still applies.
  • Items made in other countries (for example, France or Japan) may be subject to different U.S. tariff rates, which we will calculate at the time of invoicing.

How we are handling this:

Royal Mail’s Postal Delivery Duties Paid (PDDP) service is now in place. This allows us to prepay duties and tariffs on your behalf when shipping your parcel.

For U.S. orders, the process is as follows:

  1. The checkout total shows product price + shipping only (duties and tariffs are not included).

  2. Within 48 hours (in most cases, less than 48 hours) of placing your order, we will email you a separate invoice for the additional duties and tariffs.

  3. Your order will be shipped once this invoice has been paid.

  4. The invoice will clearly show:

    • Your original order total (already paid)

    • The additional duties/tariffs due

  5. If payment is not received within 5 days, your order will be cancelled and your original payment refunded.

We handle this carefully to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible.

Japan:

Most of our products, such as ceramics, are not subject to import duty, but Japanese consumption tax (10%) may apply. The taxable value is calculated as 60% of the total order amount.

  • If the total order is under 16,600 yen, no tax or duties apply.
  • If the total order is 16,600 yen or more, a 10% consumption tax may be charged upon delivery.

Canada:
Import duties and GST may be charged depending on the province and the value of the parcel. Please be aware that handling fees may also apply at delivery.

Australia:
Orders under AUD 1,000 are usually duty-free and GST-free. Higher-value orders may be subject to GST (10%) and customs processing.

New Zealand:
Orders under NZD 1,000 are usually duty-free and GST-free. Higher-value orders may be subject to 15% GST and customs processing.
