Product Description:

A beautifully preserved commemorative teacup trio produced by The Foley China Company to mark the Coronation of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra in 1902. This authentic Edwardian-era set includes a matching teacup, saucer, and side plate, all decorated with full-colour royal imagery and delicate gilt detailing.

The cup exterior features a vibrant coat of arms with allegorical figures, a crown, and the inscription “CORONATION.” Inside the cup, a regal crown and laurel motif adds further character. The saucer and plate display matching decoration with monogram-style gilding and soft scalloped borders.

Each piece is shaped in Foley’s refined fluted and scalloped form, typical of fine Victorian and Edwardian-era bone china, offering both visual charm and elegance to the touch.

This set bears two British Registration Numbers:

  • Rd No. 272101, registered in 1896, likely for the shape
  • Rd No. 380408, registered in 1901, confirming the design was officially created for the 1902 coronation

A true piece of royal history, this set is ideal for collectors of British coronation memorabilia or vintage English teaware.

The Foley China Company, founded in 1850, was later linked to Coalport China and eventually Wedgwood, placing this set within a prestigious line of historic British ceramics.
