Product Description
A beautiful vintage open bowl in Minton’s celebrated Haddon Hall pattern. Stylised flowers and scrolling foliage in rich shades of pink, yellow, blue, purple and green decorate the white bone china, while fine gilt edging around the rim and foot adds an elegant finishing touch.
The softly fluted body and gently scalloped rim create a graceful, flower-like silhouette. This versatile bowl would be lovely for serving chocolates, sweets, nuts or other small treats, or simply displayed as a decorative piece.
Its colourful botanical design would bring a touch of classic English charm to a dining table, sideboard, shelf or display cabinet. It would also make a lovely addition to an existing Haddon Hall collection.
Founded by Thomas Minton in Stoke-on-Trent in 1793, Minton became one of Britain’s most celebrated ceramic manufacturers. Introduced in 1948 and designed by John Wadsworth, Haddon Hall was inspired by historic decorative details at Haddon Hall in Derbyshire. Its lively floral motifs and distinctive scrolling foliage made it Minton’s most successful tableware pattern and one of the company’s most recognisable and enduring designs.
The base carries the original Minton “Haddon Hall, Bone China, Made in England” backstamp.
