A beautiful vintage trinket dish by Royal Crown Derby, decorated in the much-loved Derby Posies pattern. Colourful arrangements of roses and delicate garden flowers appear in shades of pink, yellow, blue, purple and orange, creating the impression of freshly gathered posies.

The softly scalloped edge is embellished with elegant gilt scrolls and fine gold detailing, giving this small dish an especially decorative finish. Perfect for holding rings, jewellery, coins or other small treasures on a dressing table or bedside table, it could also be used for serving chocolates or a few small sweets.

Its cheerful floral decoration and graceful shape would make a charming addition to a shelf, side table or display cabinet. It would also make a lovely small gift for a collector of Royal Crown Derby or traditional English floral china.

Royal Crown Derby has been producing fine English porcelain in Derby since the eighteenth century and is celebrated for its richly decorated tableware and ornamental pieces. The reverse carries the original green Royal Crown Derby “Made in England” backstamp. This style of mark was used from approximately 1952 to 1975, providing a likely date range for the dish, although an exact manufacturing year cannot be confirmed.
