Product Description

A beautiful leaf-shaped trinket dish from Wedgwood’s much-loved Kutani Crane collection. Colourful birds are pictured among peonies, bamboo and flowering branches, surrounded by delicate floral garlands and finished with a fine gilt rim.

The softly curved leaf shape and gently fluted edge give the dish an elegant, decorative quality. Its compact size makes it perfect for holding jewellery, rings or other small treasures on a dressing table or bedside table. It could also be used for keys and coins in a hallway or for serving a few sweets at the table.

Founded by Josiah Wedgwood in Staffordshire in 1759, Wedgwood is one of Britain’s most celebrated pottery manufacturers. The Kutani Crane pattern was introduced in 1971 and remained in production until 1998. Inspired by traditional Japanese Kutani decoration, it combines colourful birds and flowers with the refinement of English bone china.

The reverse carries the original Wedgwood “Bone China, Made in England, Kutani Crane” backstamp.
