Product Description
A beautiful large serving bowl from Wedgwood’s much-loved Kutani Crane collection, featuring colourful birds among peonies, bamboo and flowering branches. The intricate design is complemented by an ornate geometric border, delicate floral sprays and finely applied gilt details.
Made from fine English bone china, this generously sized bowl is perfect for serving salads or displaying fruit. Its elegant shape and richly coloured decoration also make it a striking centrepiece for a dining table, sideboard or kitchen.
For a more creative use, it could be used to create a beautiful floral arrangement or styled with a small potted plant, as shown in the inspiration photograph.
Founded by Josiah Wedgwood in Staffordshire in 1759, Wedgwood is one of Britain’s most celebrated pottery manufacturers. The Kutani Crane pattern was introduced in 1971 and remained in production until 1998. Inspired by traditional Japanese Kutani decoration, it combines colourful birds and flowers with the refinement of English bone china.
The base carries the original Wedgwood “Bone China, Made in England, Kutani Crane” backstamp.
