Product Description

A particularly charming pair of vintage Staffordshire dogs by William Kent, featuring a lovely mother-and-pup design and a rare blue floral pattern on a crisp white body. The floral detailing is beautifully balanced and adds a soft decorative feel, making this pair especially appealing for interiors that enjoy touches of blue and white.

Both dogs are seated on rich deep-blue cushions finished with a fine gold band, which anchors the figures and brings a touch of refinement to their sweet expressions. Rather than a mirrored format, this pair shares the same posture, which adds to their sweet, matching look when displayed together. The overall presence is gentle and affectionate, creating a calm and heart-warming accent for any room.

William Kent, established in 1894 in England, produced expressive ceramic figures including dogs, cats, and flat-back ornaments until 1962.

The surface shows the fine intentional crazing typical of William Kent’s glazing technique. Under the light, these delicate lines give the ceramic a pleasing depth and character that enhances its vintage appeal. The bases are stamped “Staffordshire Ware Kent Made in England” with the Staffordshire Knot, confirming authenticity.

Whether styled on a bookshelf, hallway console, or sideboard, this mother-and-pup duo brings a charming warmth to the home and an uplifting decorative touch for dog lovers and vintage interior enthusiasts alike.
